Are the Sussexes and Beckhams feuding? Apparently, their beef started in Australia.

It's time to pick a side, and pick a side right now. Do you ride for the Sussexes or the Beckhams?

Your allegiance must be pledged because the two famous couples and former allies are no longer buddies. Well, allegedly.

According to a new book, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have had a falling out with David and Victoria Beckham. As detailed in The House of Beckham by Tom Bower (the same author behind Revenge: Meghan, Harry and the War Between the Windsors), a feud has apparently been brewing since 2018.

And it began in Australia.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have had a longstanding friendship with the Beckhams, with the Spice Girl and soccer star invited to Harry and Meghan's royal wedding in 2018.

But Bower claims their relationship quickly soured, and that the Sussexes then snubbed the couple during an Australian tour in 2018. Why? Umm, the author alleges that Meghan was triggered by Victoria daring to *checks notes* give her makeup advice, a rumour which was picked up by The Sun

"There’s no doubt that the original clash [started] when Victoria had given Meghan makeup advice, which was leaked," Bower told news.com.au. That's when Prince Harry allegedly got involved.

"David got a call from Harry accusing either he or Victoria of leaking the story to promote Victoria, but then they discovered it was one of Victoria's employees, and that undoubtedly caused anger."

The unauthorised biography goes on to claim that the Duchess of Sussex asked Victoria for free clothes and handbags when she was still a working royal, but the request was "vetoed by the Palace for being against their rules".

Bower also claims Meghan was "irritated" with the fashion mogul having "considerably more wealth" than she did.

Ah yes, this is exactly what two normal women argue about. Totally checks out.

But the supposed feud truly took flight in Australia a few months later, the author writing that the beef got "really interesting" when Harry and Meghan arrived in Sydney in honour of the 2018 Invictus Games.

"Harry asked David to come to sort of get a famous face to support the games, and when he turns up at the stadium [in Sydney], Harry snubs him, won't even meet him, let alone be photographed with him," Bower claims.

This alleged snub came at the same time friction was growing between David and Victoria, after the football star appeared on The Sunday Project and described their marriage as "hard work".

"They rented a very lovely house on [Sydney's] North Shore, but apparently it was a freezing atmosphere inside the house," the author claims.

"They tried to patch up there, and it took them a long time to patch up the relationship again."

I mean, this sounds wildly speculative and has very little to do with Harry and Meghan, but go off, Tom Bower.

The author said that the couple have since gotten their marriage on steadier ground, but their friendship with Harry and Meghan never recovered.

Alrighty then!

David and Victoria Beckham have been a hot topic in recent months following their successful Netflix series, Beckham, which documented the couple's early years, family life and (many, many) controversies. And these new claims follow other bombshells dropped in the book that suggest that David's controversial comment on The Sunday Project triggered a "media war" between the couple. The author alleges that Victoria sought to get revenge on David by instructing her publicist to leak stories about the footballer — and David retaliated.

"The two publicists began to compete rather than collaborate to promote their own client. Both fed negative stories about the other side to their favourite tabloid journalists."
