SCIENCE YAY.
A man in China has had his hand successfully reattached, following a freak accident at the accident where he works.
The only catch? The hand has been SEWN TO HIS LEG for the last month:
The man, reported by People’s China Daily as Zhou, had his severed hand grafted onto his leg, in order to preserve it with a human blood supply for the month doctors needed to wait before they could attempt to reattach it to his wrist. The surgery was successful, with Zhou regaining immediate movement in his fingers, with full movement expected with further rehabilitation.
Severing a hand? Traumatic. But getting this freaky photo out of it? Priceless.
NOPE. Incredible, livelihood-saving science, but still. NOPE.
