Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin have just split up.
The 41-year-old actress took to her lifestyle website Goop to issue a statement from the couple. (The website has since crashed from the amount of traffic coming to the site.)
She and Coldplay frontman have been married since 2003, and they have two children – Apple, 9, and Moses, 7.
The statement she made was titled ‘Conscious Uncoupling’. Here’s what it read:
It is with hearts full of sadness that we have decided to separate. We have been working hard for well over a year, some of it together, some of it separated, to see what might have been possible between us, and we have come to the conclusion that while we love each other very much we will remain separate. We are, however, and always will be a family, and in many ways we are closer than we have ever been. We are parents first and foremost, to two incredibly wonderful children and we ask for their and our space and privacy to be respected at this difficult time. We have always conducted our relationship privately, and we hope that as we consciously uncouple and coparent, we will be able to continue in the same manner.

I was hugely a fan of Russel Brand - until I found out he was one of the duo who outrageously and disgustingly and pornographically and shockingly hoaxed Andrew Sachs, the actor who played "Manuel" in Fawlty Towers. I think Sachs was around 70 years old at the time.

I'm one for a little bit of showbiz gossip and love my WHO each Thursday but c'mon peoples! A celebrity break up does not a tragedy make. The landslide in Washington state is a tragedy as is the loss of 239 lives on MH370. I have had friends on social media in an absolute state about this, one even declaring she us sitting at home listening to "fix you" and crying her eyes out. This is totally inappropriate. Rant over.
