Riley, who plays Kim in the hit comedy series, is using her own diagnosis as a reminder to other women to get their breasts checked. “I encourage women to have regular breast checks, as the earlier it is found the better the outcome,” she told the Herald Sun newspaper.

on point #5 - this is hardly a new trend. I have been working in the Travel Industry for over 14years and we have offered a Bridal Registry service for at least 10 years and it has always been popular, particularly for older couples or those who have been living out of home for a while and have all the kitchen appliances they could need.
I can't think of a wedding I've been to of anyone my own age (late 20s) or younger who DIDN'T ask for money for the honeymoon. Not a new trend at all.
I wonder how loud a Labor opposition would scream "wrong, wrong, wrong" if it was a Liberal government attempting to silence the critics ?
Don't try and kid me that these "reforms" are anything less than an attempt to silence the critics. Please. Just don't try.
Hope that Gina successfully gives cancer the big flick.
Clearly you are drinking the News Ltd Cool Aid then.
Really, Craig? I think you'll find opposition to the government's latest brain fart is coming from Fairfax and Stokes as well. Your comment simply proves how effective the government/media spin is at brainwashing those who are too lazy to research for themselves.
Bradley, the answer is painfully obvious, as we both know. If Howard had attempted to take revenge for bad press then the poo would have hit the fan.
With free speech and an independant media being cornerstones of democracy, it's worrying to find our media either so well fed and bored that they don't give a crap or so in trenched in the communist manifesto that they support this government's latest and most vile assault on the Australan people.
As for the PM getting rolled .... PLEASE leave her where she is. We were robbed of caning Rudd and I'm so looking forward to hearing Gillard's concession speech.
It is ironic that you say independent media is a cornerstone of democracy. The reforms are designed to make sure this is the case and media is not just mouth pieces for their owners. The media doesn't keep the government honest at all, it just ensures it's own interests are highlighted above that of it's readers.
Anonymous, the opposition from non-News staff & organisations is a lot smaller than from News; also a lot smaller than the woefully misleading "the men of news vent free speech outrage" stitch-up.
I can understand News Ltd's interest in the issue. After all, it might interfere with their phone hacking.
