Last Christmas I was struggling to decide what I would buy my brother for Christmas.
After wracking my brain for weeks, I turned to my colleague and asked if she had any ideas.
She looked at me blankly and simply said: “an atlas”.
And that, quite simply, sums up how difficult (some) men are to buy for.
But this year, we’re making it easy. Here are 10 gift ideas for the men in your life, for under $50.
1. Speakers
You can buy the JBL Go Portable Bluetooth Speaker for $49 from JB HI-FI (it comes in a bunch of different colours) or the Logitech X300 Mobile Wireless Stereo Speaker for $45.
2. Skin products
Charcoal face wash is really in at the moment, and comes highly recommended. It is deeply detoxifying and can be used everyday, as well as being completely natural. You can buy WASH Activated Charcoal by Anti-Dote Essentials website for $30.
If you love Zoe Foster Blake’s skincare range Go-To then the male version, Bro-To, is just as good. You can buy the face cleanser Go-To website for $31.
3. Happy socks
Happy socks are really, really good socks that also come in a million different designs. One pair retails at about $16.95 or two for $24.95 and you can buy them on The Iconic.
4. Peter Alexander pyjama shorts
Anything Peter Alexander makes for a bloody good present. Men’s pyjama pants come in a bunch of different designs, including Christmas themed, dog themed and super hero themed. Boxer shorts retail at $45.95, and pyjama shorts at $49.95. You can buy them on the Peter Alexander website.
5. A keep cup
This present is ridiculously useful if the person you’re buying for is a coffee drinker. A keep cup can be used everyday, and means that you’re not disposing of countless paper cups. Also, most places give you a discount if you bring your own cup. The original Keep Cup retails at $30, and you can even design your own. You can buy them online, at Keep Cup Australia.

As a bloke, the speaker would be a nifty gift.
