Is George Clooney finally settling down?

Sorry ladies. We’re here to deliver you some tough news this morning.

It seems Hollywood heartthrob George Clooney, 52, is no longer an eternal bachelor. The handsome actor has reportedly proposed to his girlfriend of less than a year, humanitarian lawyer Amal Alamuddin, 36.

A source has told the New York Post’s Page Six, “George and Amal hoped to keep the engagement quiet, but they can’t hide the fact that they are very happy”.

Another told People Magazine: “I think it’s like they want the people they love to know that this is real, that they plan on being together forever.”

Alamuddin was also spotted wearing an engagement ring when dining with Clooney in Malibu on Thursday night.  Just another hint that perhaps this time Clooney really has settled down.

In addition to looking beautiful all the time, Alamuddin speaks three languages, previously studied at Oxford and the New York University School of Law, and is currently an adviser to former UN Secretary Kofi Annan, the special envoy to Syria.

Phew.

If on top of all those commitments, she still found the time to win Clooney’s heart, we reckon this girl must be pretty darn special.

But does she have time for some insanely attractive Clooney babies too? Only time will tell…
