Striped tees, black heels, trench coats: they appear on almost every list of wardrobe must-haves that a girl needs to have in her wardrobe but what about those other bits that you should have in your style kit?
Read on and you’ll be more prepared than MacGyver the next time a fashion emergency strikes.
Just as an FYI, you should know that this post is sponsored by Playtex. But all opinions expressed by the author are 100 per cent authentic and written in their own words.
1. Fold-up flats
For those times your feet can’t take another round of Nutbush City Limit in six-inch heels, or if your new shoes are giving you blisters more painful than Matthew McConaughey’s acceptance speeches.
2. Heel protectors
Invaluable for garden parties, weddings and at Melbourne Cup time, these stiletto stoppers prevent your heels from sinking into the grass. Which as we all know leads to drunkenness and a propensity for walking home legless and shoeless while stuffing a Harry’s Cafe de Wheels pie floater in your gob. (No? Just me then.)
3. Bra Clips
One of the biggest bugbears of buying a new racer back top or frock, is trying to track down a bra that won’t ruin the look of it. The solution? These nifty clips that convert your regular bra into a sporty one.
4. Headlight dimmers
These are almost worth a mention for their name alone. Photo-bombing nipples have ruined so many wedding photos and gorgeous. See: Anne Hathaway at last year’s Oscars.
5. Playtex Play Bra
Who has time to switch into three different bras for all the activities that fill your day? Whether you’re working, playing with the kids or catching up with friends for coffee, there is one do-it-all bra you should have in your wardrobe. The Playtex Play bra is supportive and comfortable enough to wear every day.

Reading that list, I realise just how unglamorous my life has become. O how the mighty have fallen. Boot tights sound like a brilliant idea for this Canberran, but I'm afraid my top 9 would also have to feature running shoes and a good pair of gardening gloves.
What do they mean 'adhesive'? Where exactly does it adhere? Cause I'm imagining a painful experience removing this at the end of the night?
