Last month, Lucas Bane and David Devora’s marriage proposal went viral.
Which makes sense, because it looked like this:
One of the people who stumbled across the elaborate proposal online, was an old schoolmate of Bane’s. ‘Mate’ in the ‘same class and graduated in the same year’ sense, not in the ‘harbouring friendly relations’ sense. This schoolmate was actually Bane’s old school bully, who had made the lives of Bane and a bunch of other kids a misery.
After watching the video, Bane’s former bully got in contact with Bane through Facebook, and the pair had this conversation. (Via The Gaily Grind.)
It’s kind of beautiful, isn’t it? So, what have we learnt?
1. It’s never too late to say you’re sorry.
2. Viral videos are the solution to many of the world’s problems, so stop bagging them.
3. The gay haters and bullies of today can be the equality campaigners of tomorrow, provided that they are met with acceptance when they do (eventually) come around.
Share to prove that the acceptance of gay marriage is an achievable goal for all.

Except that he didn't say sorry. As such. Hopefully he will when they meet up for drinks.
That is so amazing. Yay social media once again. I hope they are all happy in the future.
