After months of waiting, the long-awaited final season of Game of Thrones is just around the corner.
Following on from the release of a new teaser trailer last month, HBO have shared 14 new photos from the upcoming eighth and final season.
The exciting collection of photos features many of the series’ main characters, including Jon Snow, Daenarys Targaryen, Arya Stark and Tyrion Lannister.
Watch the official teaser trailer for Game of Thrones’ final season below.
But there’s one photo in particular that’s got Game of Thrones fans excited – and it hints at a massive spoiler.
You see, Jaime Lannister’s costume has changed a lot.
Not only is the Kingslayer sporting a beard, he also appears to be wearing armour from the North.
In fact, Jaime’s new armour look very similar to the former King in the North Robb Stark’s armour.
Of course, Jaime could have simply opted for darker armour, but looking back at season seven, we wouldn't be surprised if taking the side of the North is the path Jaime chooses in the final season of the fantasy drama.
After all, towards the end of season seven of the show, Jaime said he would travel to the North to pledge his honour there after Jaime became furious at Cersei for plotting with Euron behind his back.
If Jaime really appears in Winterfell in season seven, it'll be the first time he has come back in contact with Bran Stark since he attempted to murder him, leaving him paralysed.
Besides the theory about Jaime going North, there's also a theory that Jaime's new costume indicates that he will become the 1000th Lord Commander of the Night's Watch and live out the rest of his life at the Wall.
Either way, we can't wait to find out what will happen next.
The eighth and final season of Game of Thrones is set to include just six episodes, but in good news, they will be movie-sized in length.
Season eight of Game of Thrones will be available to watch on Foxtel channel FOX Showcase from April 15.
