Update: Police searching for 25-year-old man in connection with the murder of French student Sophie Collombet
Investigators in Queensland have released the name of a man they want to speak to. 25-year-old Benjamin James Milward is known to police and is wanted for questioning. Members of the public are warned not to approach him.
“We don’t know what his involvement in the matter is at this stage but he is a person that we wish to speak to,” Detective Inspector Rod Kemp said.
Mr Milward is about 180cm tall, Caucasian, with short light hair, hazel eues and a dragon tattoo on the left side of his chest. He is known to frequent the Kurilpa Park area and was spotted on CCTV in the park on the night of Ms Collombet’s death.
He is the only person of interest police have named in relation to the case but he has not been declared a suspect at this point in time.
Update: Anti-Islamic extremist targeted in suburban Sydney shooting
A member of an anti-Islamic extremist group has been targeted in a shooting in Sydney’s west overnight. Nathan Abela, 24, was not shot but suffered minor injury after ducking for cover from eight bullets that were fired into his Greystanes home. Witnesses told the police that they saw a silver Audi drive away from the premises.

The police in Brisbane have released CCTV footage showing murdered French student Sophie Collombet on her journey home.
The naked and beaten body of the 21-year-old was found last Friday morning in a rotunda near the William Jolly Bridge.
