A woman is making $5300 a day being horrible to men because they want her to.

A 28-year-old American woman has traded in her job as a technical project manager to become an online financial dominatrix. And with earnings of up to $5,300 a day, we can see the appeal.

Working from the comfort of her lounge room, Mistress Harley says the primary requirements for the role are fairly simple.

After installing desktop sharing software that gives her unrestricted control to her clients’ online accounts, Harley takes over their social media, bank accounts, emails and more.

Throw in some insults and abuse, and you’ve got yourself a financial dominatrix.

Harley has been married for two years, with her husband leading the charge on domestic duties like cooking and cleaning.

"I was fed up of working long hours, I wanted something more exciting and that's when I looked into ways to make money online," Harley told the Daily Mail.

"I was used to bossing around 20 men each day while project managing so when I came across ways to financially dominate men and realised how much they paid, I quickly kick started my new career," she continued.

Having gained from her master's degree in library science and information technology, Harley worked as a webcam dominatrix while studying, but found that the money wasn't as good as she had hoped.

Then seeing a gap in the market, she decided to give blackmail a go.

"Over the years I looked at different ways I could take people's money and noticed blackmail was becoming a popular fetish among men," she said.

"I found clients that wanted to be dominated in a more permanent way and, through the software I install, I can control what sites they visit, add parental locks, access their bank details, the list is endless," she explained.

"Around 25 per cent of my customers are simply curious, it is often a one off for them and they mostly want to see what it's like to be financially dominated," she said.

Harley says that the majority of her earnings comes from regular clients, around 20 of them.

On top of that, people can also pay to watch her online video clips and pay for one-off Skype or video sessions.

"I spend most of the money I make on my beauty routine," Harley admits, saying, "I have regular hair and nail appointments that cost a total of $1,500 ($2,000) each time and I have a weakness for expensive designer shoes, like Christian Louboutin's, that I buy regularly."

"My husband supported my decision and knew we could earn a fortune, he no longer works and I make enough money to support the both of us," she added happily, continuing, "Whilst I earn around $4,000 a day, my husband does most of the cooking, cleaning, and takes care of things I don't want to do like talking to our accountants and lawyers."

"I don't even take my clothes off for men, I just take their money, and it's very empowering."
