And this year, it’s not just the lads looking for love, with Farmer Paige of Cassilis, NSW, also throwing her akubra hat into the ring.

From September 4, we’ll follow her and the guys as they meet a group of singles looking to make a tree change for love.

As one of Australia's more tame dating shows when it comes to drama, we were shocked last season when drama erupted between the series ending and the reunion episode airing.

Contestant Hayley Love joined the show as one of Farmer Matt Terwin’s girls, but eventually made a connection with Farmer Will Dwyer instead in the weeks after production ended.

After the show aired, she shared that she was pregnant with his baby, a little girl named Daisy, whom she gave birth to in December last year.

But to be honest, that drama probably won’t be matched in 2022.

Here’s everything you need to know about the new season of Farmer Wants a Wife.

What can we expect from Farmer Wants a Wife in 2022?

This year we have four male farmers looking for love, but production have thrown a female farmer into the mix for 2022 as well.

This isn’t the first time we’ve seen a female farmer look for love on the show, but it’s been 11 years since Farmer Jenny Blake was on the show, so we’re looking forward to seeing how it'll turn out for Farmer Paige.

Aside from Paige, we also have Farmer Will, Farmer Harry, Farmer Ben, and Farmer Benjamin hoping to find the one.

What do we know about the farmers?

Paige, who is 27, is a self-taught farmer. She knew at 15 that this was the life she wanted, and she set out to get it. She’s also an accomplished horsewoman, often heading off to the rodeo or various camp drafting events.

"So much of my life, at work and after hours, revolves around the farm or around farm-based activities," she says.

"I would like to have someone to come with me to the drafts and the rodeos, or join me on the fence line, or be my gate opener; just someone to share life with."

Farmer Will, 26, hails from Berriwillock in Victoria and is a broadacre crop and sheep farmer. While he’s very dedicated to the farm, he lists his other interests as football, motorbike riding, fishing, tennis, cricket and water sports.

Farmer Ben, 27, runs a dairy farm in Wingham, NSW. He’s an 'old-fashioned' romantic hoping to find long-lasting love.

He’s also father to a three-year-old daughter, so he's looking for someone who is family focused.

Farmer Benjamin is a 33-year-old sheep farmer based at Guyra in NSW. A man of many hats, Benjamin also has a degree in drama, co-owns a record label, can DJ, produce music, and also dabbles in visual arts.

Farmer Harry, who works as a dairy farmer in Victoria, is the youngest at just 23. He loves to cook and thinks that preparing a meal for someone and sharing it together is his favourite way to create a bond.

Who will host Farmer Wants A Wife in 2022?

Natalie Gruzlewski will be returning to host the show for another year, and this time around she’ll also be joined by Sam Armytage.

The Sunrise host famously married equestrian businessman Richard Lavender, and moved to the countryside with him in recent years.

"I fell in love with a farmer myself, so I can't wait to help them find the one," Sam says in the trailer.
