The exceptionally clever way to reuse your wedding dress.

If you’ve been a bride, you’ve probably also been faced with the age-old question: what, if anything, can you do with your wedding dress after the big day?

Something so full of memories (and, ahem, so prohibitively expensive) is almost impossible to throw away, but it seems silly to keep it hanging in your wardrobe or locked away in storage.

A new solution? Turn it into jewellery.

San Fransisco-based designer Gabe Bratton creates incredible pieces by solidifying the lace of used wedding dresses into jewellery.

Bratton takes pieces of wedding dresses and uses a wax casting technique to transform the fabric into metal, allowing her to create necklaces, bracelets, rings and even cufflinks out of wedding dresses.

And the results speak for themselves.
