NRL Footy Show host Erin Molan has been rushed to hospital for the second time in her pregnancy.
In an appearance on WSFM’s Jonesy and Amanda Show, the sports presenter, 35, said she was taken there in an ambulance.
“I had another little episode this week, unfortunately,” she said.
“I got my whooping cough and flu shot and had a little… faint is a strong word, but a little fall in the Randwick shops.”
It comes just three months after it was reported Molan, who announced her pregnancy on-air in December, fell on Channel 9’s set and was taken to hospital.
The Sunday Telegraph reported at the time once she was taken to Sydney’s Royal North Shore Hospital, tests determined low blood sugar caused the spell.
In January, Molan wrote on Instagram about the gritty realities of her pregnancy that many are not privy to while she is on air.
“This isn’t a ‘pity me’ post… just an FYI for the sake of accuracy!” she wrote at at the time.
“I have received so many beautiful comments and messages over the past few weeks about how well I look on TV and that I am glowing through this pregnancy… I obviously appreciate them very much…BUT I feel it’s important for other pregnant women to know that there is a very real and non-glam side to my pregnancy too.”
“How I look ready to go ‘on-air’ isn’t how I arrive at work or wake up,” she said.
Molan went on to say she is sick “every single day”, and morning sickness did not subside for her after the 12-week mark.
“I often have to run out of the hair and make up room multiple times unwell.
“Today – I spent an hour on the bathroom floor unable to get up – and have had to call in sick to work for the first time since getting pregnant…
“I can normally work through anything so I found doing that incredibly hard.”
