Sorry, Kylie Jenner: Instagram's most-liked post is now just a photo of an egg.

Move over, Kylie Jenner.

It turns out the beauty mogul’s world record for the most-liked Instagram has finally been overtaken.

But it wasn’t overtaken by a celebrity or even an influencer.

Nope, Kylie Jenner was beaten by an egg.

An actual egg.

In early January an Instagram account was launched featuring nothing more than a photo of the chicken egg in the hopes of becoming the most-liked photo on Instagram.

“Let’s set a world record together and get the most liked post on Instagram,” the photo posted on account @world_record_egg said.

“Beating the current world record held by Kylie Jenner! We got this.”

And despite being no easy feat, boy, did they succeed.

Although Kylie Jenner’s photo of her newborn daughter Stormi grasping her thumb has 18 million likes, the egg has managed to beat Kylie with over 20 million likes at time of publishing.

Amazing.

The egg also becomes the first non-human in Instagram’s top 20 most-liked photos.

Other celebrities featured in the top 20 include Justin Bieber, Beyonce, Selena Gomez, and Cristiano Ronaldo.

Kylie has since responded to the news, sharing a video of herself cracking an egg onto the road on Instagram.

“Take that little egg,” Kylie captioned the post.

On Twitter, hundreds of people have hilariously responded to the Instagram news.
