The good news is that there is an easy hack to stop the crumbling, make your tips sharper for more precise application AND ensure your makeup pencils last a whole lot longer.

And all you need is access to a freezer.
Whether it’s a lip, eye or brow pencil, this extremely easy and rather cool (literally) trick means you’ll no longer waste half a pencil trying to sharpen it. More bang for your buck? We’re in.
Simply pop your pencil in the freezer for a few minutes, remove, and then sharpen without the hassle of it crumbling and snapping.

If you don’t have a freezer, you can use the refrigerator which works just as well but takes a few more minutes.
It doesn’t affect the texture or effectiveness of the pencil and makes getting an even, sharp point easier too.
