Two of the Duggar daughters are defending their brother saying he was just “a little too curious”.
People reports, in a television interview set to air in the US today, Jill Dillard (24) and Jessa Seewald (22) speak up in support of their older brother Josh Duggar, who has confessed to molesting his younger sisters and a family friend, as a teenager.
“Josh was a boy, a young boy in puberty and a little too curious about girls,” said Jessa according to People. “And that got him into some trouble. And he made some bad choices, but, really, the extent of it was mild – inappropriate touching on fully clothed victims, most of it while [the] girls were sleeping.”
For some background on the events: The eldest Duggar son admits to sexually abusing young girls as a teen.
Jessa told the show’s host Megyn Kelly, Josh is not a “child molester or a paedophile or a rapist.” But the official police report obtained by In Touch is clear: Josh Duggar confessed to his father on three separate occasions he had engages in sexual molestation multiple times with his siblings, as well as a young female friend of the family.
According to police, Duggar touched five young girls on the breasts and genitals, while they were in their beds or on at least one occasion on the couch. He was aged 14 and 15 when he assaulted the girls on several occasions in 2002 and 2003.

Um, did no-one else in the world (apart from me) have young teenaged brothers who played doctors and nurses? Who, um, explored? I had both male and female doctor and nurse games as a young child. I wasn't traumatised by it, as the Duggar girls don't feel traumatised by it. I had my curiosity satisfied as well for goodness sake.
Yes but usually these games occur at a MUCH younger age. Josh was 14/15 and well into puberty. Many boys engage in sexual intercourse at this age. There is a huge difference between a young pre-pre-pubesent boy playing doctors and nurses with girls the SAME AGE, and a teenage boy touching girls unknowingly WHILE THEY SLEEP.
Definitely not as a teenager no, that's a bit wrong with your teenaged brother, puberty has started and you know better.. Yes as a 5 - 9 or so year old with a friend 'show me yours if I show you mine' but def not as a teenager and def not with a sibling!!!
We didn't hear from all of the girls he molested. The incident that precipitated him being sent away involved a five year old, sitting on Josh's lap as she was read a story. She did know the touching was bad as she ran to tell her parents. She wasn't one of the girls who was interviewed so we don't know how she feels. This is definitely not a case of curiosity or doctor games.
Question is, was the boy you were playing doctors and nurses 14/15? A 4 yr olds curiosity is very, very different to that of a hormone-filled teenage boy (who knew he was doing something vile and wrong, hence the overt touching of sleeping girls).
All these people that say that the parents should have turned their son into the authorities..... I wonder what they would do if their son, who they love dearly, confessed to them? Of course you would try to help him yourself before turning him over to the cops. They sent him away when they found they could change his behavior. It's just that they're in the public eye ppl are making such a fuss about how they handled it. People also want to find any fault they can with them because they live differently to everyone else. They are human, they make mistakes.... Obviously everyone who has criticized them are absolutely perfect in every way.
Agreed. I am no fan of the Duggars, and definitely not of Fox News, but this is clearly a far more complex issue than people are trying to make it out to be.
I'm not excusing his behaviour but Josh was 14 and raised by crazy fundamentalist parents. There are other factors in play here besides "Hurr durr Josh is evil".
Perfect in every way, no - but most people criticising them don't have a reality TV show espousing perfection and unity. These people are dysfunctional and you can 'empathise' all you like, but in the end we know the truth.
Where was their care for the girls? THE VICTIMS
im not perfect but i dont protect sexual abusers, even if it was my own kid.
the parents only looked out for their image, tv show, the male and religion
Not one thouht was for the girls
