American designer, Adelyn Rae has created, what People Magazine are calling a ‘miracle slimming dress’ designed specifically for its slimming features.
For centuries women have been on the look out for slimming ‘secrets’. We all tried the Atkins Diet Jennifer Aniston propheted, and the Lemon Detox Diet when tabloids claimed it made Beyoncé lose (a scary) 9 kilos in two weeks. We soldier on in a spanx, God forbid anyone ever catch sight of our visible belly line, we dread summer because it means we have to *gasp* find a flattering costume to wear this year.
But, fear not comrades, because we have found a dress that will ‘make you lose 4 kilos instantly’. Because, get this, the dress actually works out and eats healthy for you! We jest, we jest, but it does have a sneaky little design trick (read: optical illusion), that flatters every body type.
The white dress is strategically colour-blocked with black side panels to 'make your waist look tiny and your curves look amazing'.
"When the design team were putting together this dress, they looked at every aspect of it. From the neckline to the waistline and they asked themselves, 'does it make it more slimming'?" People Magazine's Features Editor, Zoe Ruderman said.
"If the answer wasn't yes then they altered it so it was yes. The result is a dress that is so flattering."
