What the eff is up with the double shower heads on The Block?

There is absolutely no excuse for this monstrosity.

I love The Block.

I love getting to know the contestants, I love the competitiveness, the bitchiness and the mad rushes to scramble everything together before Scotty calls tools down. But there is one thing that has irked me for a long time watching this show. One question that continuously pops up during almost every bathroom challenge throughout the past three seasons.

What the shit is up with the double shower heads?

The Block Triple Threat contestants Dea and Daz highlighted their love for the double shower in the most recent ensuite bathroom challenge. They created a beautiful bathroom, but including a double fucking shower. And they received a near-perfect score.Ridiculous.

But they’re not alone. There are multiple “Blockheads” guilty of installing double shower heads over the years.

Gone are the days when people only needed one shower in a shower. You now need two.

Oh wait – no. NO YOU DON’T. And here’s why:

1. They’re embarrassing.

I’ve got things to do in the shower. I need to shampoo, condition, wash, scrub, sing. And I don’t want another person watching me do it.

2. Shower time is “me” time.

I’m no prude – but shower time is me time. I spend almost every minute of my time in the house hanging out with my boyfriend, I don’t need to spend my shower time with him. A second shower head just gives him an excuse to intrude. Not necessary.

3. It’s completely impractical.

If you want to enjoy the company of another person in the shower, surely you don’t need two bloody shower heads to do so. Even if you do want to get down and dirty in the shower, using a double shower you’re either in the middle (where there’s no water), or you’re under one shower head, so the double shower is rendered pointless. It makes no sense.

I rest my case.
