This lady's 'Day On A Plate' is disturbingly healthy. And it didn't take long for the internet to hit back.

When you’re looking to treat yourself, what do you reach for? Tim Tams? Ice-cream? Cake? Well, forget that. This lady lets loose with…an almond milk cappuccino (but only on the weekend). Now that’s living.

Look out Gwyneth. And Pete Evans, you’re off the hook for now. Because there is a new contender for the craziest description of your day on a plate.

When Juice founder Kara Rosen detailed her daily food diary for The Telegraph, what began as inoffensive newspaper column quickly went viral.

Because Kara is HEALTH.

Her day begins at 6am with a hot water and lemon, before a shower. After her morning run, she hits the egg whites. When her tummy rumbles, it’s a green juice. And from then on, it’s green salad. Green tea. Green leaves and spicy water.

Why you shouldn’t diet just because it’s January.”

Her treat? A almond milk cappuccino, only on weekends. And when she needs something “carby” at lunch she dives into a couple of rice cakes.

Of course this was all too much for an internet built on bacon memes. The people, many of whom had that morning ingested both carbs AND coffee, fired up:

And this:

This woman just got food shamed:

And feel bad we did.  For a moment we fantasized of a life filled with proteins and good fats and plenty of fluids. But only for a moment. For it did not take long for the piss-takers of the internet to begin their merry dance.

Within hours, people began posting their  own ‘Day on a Plate’ in response to the lofty health heights of the green-saturated original.

Before long,#dayonaplate inspired people everywhere to share their eating habits. Screaming and all:

Have an unrelenting sense of impending doom? Crippling Anxiety?  Shame?  It’s all part of this unbalanced diet:

For some, it was the beautiful, honest truth: store bought biscuits, pitiful salads and kids leftovers:

And the internet-crowned winner came from Hunter S Thompson’s biography.  The gonzo journalist and author of Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas preferred white powder over green leaves:

As for Kara Rosen? The health-entrepreneur defended her plate, telling The Independent that she was a foodie who just happens to like this kind of food.

“I happen to like kale, nuts, and avocado. I don’t see them as boring. I think they taste really good. Plant-based food is what makes me feel good.” she said.

Remember when Pete Evans’ activated his nuts?

She says she eats healthy 80 percent of the time and has been known to try more than just egg whites.

“I have indulgences” she says. “I have been known to eat a Creme Egg – although I can’t say it was my favourite food.

“This was a day, not a life, on a plate, and the day happened to be a busy Monday.”

Kara Rosen’s Day On A Plate.

6am Hot water and lemon.

7am Handful of nuts before weight-training or a run.

8.30am Scrambled egg whites and a green tea.

11am A green juice.

1pm Green salad with chia seeds and avocado, and a couple of rice cakes.

8pm kale salad with pistachios, olives, dried cherries, argan oil and apple-cider vinegar, sometimes with brown rice and grilled fish.

9pm Ginger tea with a squeeze of lemon.

She sounds about as much fun as a colonoscopy on your birthday.

Anyone who is offended by this is just projecting their own food/fat/self loathing. I read it, had a laugh and couldn't give a kale smoothie. Stop venting haters and go for a run instead- you'll feel better.
