Congratulations are in order for Weekend Today co-host, Deborah Knight, who gave birth to a baby girl last night.
The Today Show released a statement via Twitter from Knight announcing the happy news, stating that she is “exhausted” but “over the moon”.
The baby is a third for Knight, 43, and her husband, Lindsay Dunbar, who already have children Darcy, 6, and Elsa, 5.
Knight has been incredibly open over the years about her struggle to conceive, admitting during her pregnancy announcement on live television back in August that the news was a complete surprise for her and her husband. The couple’s first two children were both conceived using IVF.
Knight told viewers at the time that she was not expecting a baby at this point in her life.
“I did not expect a baby in my life at this point.. we were told we wouldn’t be having bubs without IVF… this is a total surprise.”
Knight told Woman’s Day last August it was a welcome surprise for not just her and husband, but her two children also.
“The kids have been really excited, as well. They know that there’s a little baby in mummy’s tummy!”
We wish Knight and her family all the happiness in the world with this new little addition to the abode.
