1. Brother of one-punch victim Daniel Christie shares details in court.

The brother of a young man who was killed in Sydney’s Kings Cross in 2013 has told a court how accused killer, Shaun McNeil, intimidated and assaulted him and his brother.

McNeil is charged with the murder of 18-year-old Daniel Christie, after allegedly delivering the blow that led to his death.

Daniel’s brother Peter  has testified in court today, telling the jury that Mr McNeil intimidated them, stating he was an MMA fighter.

“He had, like, an aggressive sort of manner. Sort of, beefing up, to look big,” Mr Christie said of Mr McNeil.

Mr Christie said he approached Daniel who said “no,no,no,no” and backed away before the attack.

Mr McNeil, 27, then delivered a swift, hard punch to Daniel’s face, and then another to Peter, ABC News reports.

The trial is ongoing.

2. Lindt Cafe vandal identified – as Brisbane sport star.

The  man charged in relation to an attack on the Martin Place Lindt Cafe last night has been identified as Brisbane basketball player, Luke Martin.

Martin allegedly threw rocks at the window’s of the cafe, which was the site of the deadly Sydney siege attack that claimed two innocent lives last year.

Police reportedly followed the man on Tuesday night, eventually arresting him in Darlinghurst, Sydney.

Sydney Morning Herald alleges the 34-year-old man from Concord assaulted police, breaking an officer’s jaw, during the arrest.

He has been charged with assaulting police, wreckless driving, resisting arrest, and malicious damage of the Lindt Cafe.

Martin formerly played professional basketball for the Sydney Kings NBL team, but currently plays for the Brisbane Spartans in a semi-professional league.

3. High heels are doing damage to your feet.

Another study has found wearing high-heeled shoes is bad for your feet.

The research team from a university in South Korea found women are risking permanent damage to their feet if they do not take proper care of themselves.

Where these for more than three years, and suffer.

“As high heels are in fashion and sometimes required for certain professions, many women may be unaware of the extent to which [the shoes] may be weakening their dynamic balance,’ said Dr Yong-Seok Jee from Hanseo University told Mail Online.

“Eventually, major accidents such as falls and serious ankle sprains can result without proper maintenance and conditioning.”

The study examined 40 professional women who wear heels of 10cm or higher at least three times a week, over a period of three years.

By the end of the three years, the study found two muscles in the feet became dominant — which eventually could give rise to ankle injuries.

4. Australian man attacked by bison.

An Australian man has been attacked by a bison while on holiday in America.

The 62-year-old tourist was attempting to photograph the bison at Yellowstone National Park when it gored him.

According to Fairfax Media, American officials say the man was less than two metres from the animal when it charged him, tossing him into the air.

The man was taken to hospital where he remains in a serious condition.

5. Mozambique to decriminalise homosexuality.

Mozambique has decriminalised homosexuality, which remains illegal in some parts of the African continent.

A new law removes mention of illegal “vices against nature”, a positive step forward for the nation, the International Business Times reports.

The new laws are set to take effect on June 29.

There are still 35 African countries where homosexuality is illegal. In some, like Sudan, the death penalty can be punishment for gay people.
