Soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo welcomes twins with a sweet Instagram post.

Portuguese soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo has become a father-of-three after sharing the birth of his newborn twins in a sweet Instagram post.

The 32-year-old Real Madrid player was representing his country in a Confederations Cup match against Chile when the twins were reportedly born via an American surrogate in the US.

“So happy to be able to hold the two new loves of my life,” the second time father captioned the image of him holding the new arrivals.

Ronaldo also confirmed the birth in a Facebook post on Wednesday night, saying “I’m very happy to finally be with my children for the first time.”

The twins – reportedly named Mateo and Eva – are now brother and sister to Ronaldo’s first child, seven-year-old Cristiano Ronaldo Jnr., making them part of a family of five with the soccer player’s girlfriend, Georgina Rodriguez.

Speaking on Portuguese TV,  the soccer player's sister, Katia shared details of the twins' birth.

"Mateo and Eva, those are the names of Cristiano Ronaldo’s twins," she said. "The boy and girl were born to a surrogate mum."
