Courtney Love's heartbreaking tribute to Kurt Cobain.

“I miss you, we all miss you.”

It’s been more than two decades since Kurt Cobain took his own life at the age of 27, leaving behind a wife, a baby girl and legions of fans.

His daughter, Frances Bean, is now a self-possessed young woman, who this weekend celebrated her 23rd birthday. Her mum, Courtney Love, couldn’t be more proud.

In two heart-wrenching Instagram posts, the singer paid tribute to her husband on their child’s birthday by posting a picture of the family together and the words:

“Makes me feel so sad. Our baby is all grown up now. Jesus Kurt look at her face, what on earth were you thinking? God I miss you, we all miss you.”

The second image was simply captioned, “My greatest love and our precious Bean.”

She also tweeted birthday wishes to her daughter:

She also posted some photos from her birthday celebrations on her account and thanked her friends for being “the greatest on the planet” after they threw her a surprise party.

“Thanks for the best  ever,” she wrote. “Love you guys.”
