A BBC Sports TV presenter recently got more than he bargained for during a live filming at the Rio 2016 Olympics.
During a live-to-air broadcast, presenter Dan Walker was informed by social media fans that there appeared to be more than just beach frolicking going on in the scene behind him.
Rather than acknowledge that the acts taking place in the background were likely unsavoury, Walker came up with a humorous cover story:
“For those asking what’s going on in the background now on social media now, we’re not going to zoom in but rest assured, it’s not that,” he said, laughing. “It’s just a hug, they’re reading a book.
Just for clarification… they were reading a book!!! That couple were definitely reading a book ???????????? #Copacanoodle

“They’re reading a book in a strange pose. We’ll find out what the book is a little bit later on.”
Of course, Twitter followers didn’t buy it, voicing their incredulousness via the social platform.
