1. Constance Hall’s honest post about why she and husband Denim go to couple’s therapy.
Australian blogger and media identity Constance Hall, 35, has shared an honest post with her Instagram followers detailing her love for her husband Denim Cooke.
“One of the reasons I married him was his lack of inhibitions, everyone thinks I’m loose… then they meet him. I love the fact that I never have any idea what the hell he’s about to say,” she began her caption, alongside a shirtless photo of her husband.
“I want you to know that we are in couples therapy,” she told her over 400,000 Instagram followers. “Couples therapy isn’t just for couples that are on the brink of separation or have had affairs and betrayals. It’s for anyone who wants to learn to understand their partner better, I think of it as a preventative.”
She continued: “The stigma of couples therapy needs to be broken, couples who attend it are couples who have made the decision that their love is sacred and worthy of time and effort.”
The mum-of-seven, known for her honesty and candidness with fans, said she attends fortnightly sessions for relationship therapy.
Hall emphasised that she believes, “relationship therapy really is for anyone who gives a f*ck about their relationship and I for one give more of a f*ck with every day that passes.”
Hall has been open in the past about the challenges she and Cooke have faced, especially after the birth of Raja in May 2018.
The candid post comes just weeks after rumours circulated online that Constance and Denim had called it quits on their marriage.
But it looks like all is well in Constance’s queendom.
2. After getting breast implants for the “wrong reasons”, Ali Oetjen has undergone surgery to remove them.
Before being The Bachelorette, Ali Oetjen admitted that she deeply regretted her breast enhancement surgery, which she got to impress a boyfriend nine years prior.
“My boobs were not money well spent,” she told The Sunday Telegraph at the time.
“If I had my time over, I would not have gotten them done. When I got them done, I did it for someone else. I thought it would make them happy.”
One year later, Ali has undergone breast surgery again, this time to remove the implants.
The 32-year-old reality star shared the news with her nearly 200,000 Instagram followers in a video before she went under.
"To everyone that said they’re too big, you hurt my feelings," she wrote on Instagram.
"To myself, I will never change my body for someone else. The lesson learnt when I was strongest. I don’t want to have huge boobs!"
The aspiring personal trainer, famous for being 2018's Bachelorette, told her fans it will be six weeks until she can work out again, in what will be an intense recovery process post surgery.
3. Um. Matt Preston found out he was sacked from MasterChef on Instagram.
Last week, after more than a decade on our screens, Network Ten announced that judges Matt Preston, Gary Mehigan and George Calombaris would be leaving MasterChef Australia.
But while the news of the switch up came as a shock to viewers of the long running cooking competition, it turns out even Matt Preston himself was surprised by the news.
Speaking to The Daily Telegraph, the food critic admitted that he only learned that he wouldn't be returning to the show next season when he saw "commiserating fans delivering the news" on Instagram.
Erm, yikes.
Speaking to the publication, Preston also reiterated that the judges' decision to leave the show had nothing to do with money.
"We were happy with what we being offered, in fact we had accepted Ten's financial offer to make the next series of MasterChef," he said.
"We just failed to agree on the other terms."
Since the news broke, it's been rumoured that Matt, George and Gary are reportedly in talks with a number of streaming services and Australian networks about launching a new show.
4. “This is about love.” Jake Gyllenhaal says Heath Ledger refused to joke about Brokeback Mountain.
More than a decade on from Heath Ledger's death, Jake Gyllenhaal has opened up about working with the late actor on 2005 film Brokeback Mountain.
Speaking to NBC's Sunday Today, the 38-year-old explained that Ledger never joked about the movie, which received some backlash following its release.
"I see people who have joked about me or criticised me about lines I say in that movie – and that's the thing I loved about Heath. He would never joke," the actor said.
"Someone wanted to make a joke about the story or whatever he was like, 'No. This is about love.' Like that's it, man."
Gyllenhaal also shared that starring in the movie changed his life for the better as it opened "tons of doors" for him.
"When we did Brokeback Mountain, I was like, 'Whoa, what's going on?' This is a level of focus and attention that hits a certain nerve and you're like, 'This is better than me,'" he said.
"This little movie we made that meant so much to us has now become not ours anymore. It's the worlds."
