'I walk to work every day. Here are the shoes that look good and make the journey.'

There are many positives to being a city girl.

The main one being that I can walk to work and it only takes about 40 minutes — around five kilometres for the round trip.

When I first started doing it, I'd wear my trainers and carry my "work" shoes in a bag so I could change into them when I got to the office. But I was so lazy, I'd never change them and ended up wearing runners that didn't match my outfits all day.

So I decided to hunt for shoes that are not only comfy enough to walk the distance, but they're also fashionable.

Here are my holy grail picks.

Adidas Originals Gazelle Indoor Women's, $180.

I've had these guys for YEARS. They've never gone out of style and the Sambas are more popular now than ever. They come in so many different colours, doubling up as a statement shoe. I didn't even need to break them in. On rainy days, I spray them with waterproof spray and they last just fine.

Reebok Classic Leather, $150.

Reebok is my most re-purchased shoe brand. I've had three pairs over four years. They're constantly updating their styles which I love. The classic leather is what I've been sporting the most. It's just a classic white sneaker that goes with everything and actually stays white (yes even through my daily concrete jungle walks).

Blundstone women's series heeled boots, $259.95.

A new addition to my walk, these boots are SO comfy and they've been the perfect addition to my winter shoe collection.

I love wearing boots, but most the ones I own have too high of a heel and aren't comfy enough to wear for longer walks.

Warning: Blundstone sizes run big. I'm a size 7 but I had to get a size 6 (which is still a bit big for me).

Verali Rage flatform sandals, $79.95

For the warmer months, these are my go-to basic sandal that go with every single outfit. They have a platform so you can wear them for multiple occasions and you will get complimented on them constantly (sorry for the attention).

Verali do a range of comfy sandals and they're more affordable than most other options.

Twoobs The OG+, $169.

There was a point where I swear every single person I knew was wearing Twoobs.

Definitely a fashion statement with their variety of colours, these shoes are also extremely comfortable.

I'd avoid wearing them in wet weather as they can get a bit roughed up on the city streets, but they're a great option for when you want to look a bit more dressy (but not have blisters).

Unisex Converse Run Star Hike Lugged High Top Black, $160.

An absolute classic. I'll admit, I have approximately five pairs of Converse at the moment but these are the ones that I wear the most. The ribbed rubber bottom makes them look so cool and I've convinced at least four people to buy a pair.

Surprisingly, they're lighter than the normal platform, making them so easy to walk in.

Marnie Knee High Cowboy Boots, $70.

Cowboy boots are IN (thank you Taylor Swift). I bought these for a friend's cowgirl-themed bachelorette but now wear them to work as well (how good).

It did take me a while to warm up to these bad boys. The heel threw me off and, at first, it took me a bit longer than usual to get to work as I was clomping around like a goat. However, it was worth it. These look so good and are great for the colder months.
