Writer and broadcaster, Clementine Ford, has welcomed a baby.
The new mother made the surprise announcement on her Facebook page.
“Here is my second big project launched this year. Three weeks old tomorrow, the love of my life so far,” she said.
Ford said having a baby has been one of the most “challenging and exciting” things she’s ever done.
“One of the reasons I kept this so private was because I’m afraid of how the abuse towards me will be broadened now to include my family,” she said.
“All I’ll say is this – if you feel at all tempted to direct the vitriol you save for me towards a tiny human, stop for a minute and think about what kind of person that makes you.”
Ford says she will be taking six-week maternity leave break from her column but will be back to work “asap”.
“I’m posting this now because my life has changed dramatically as a result,” she said.
“There are hundreds of unread emails and messages that I almost certainly won’t have time (or hands) to answer in the immediate future.”
Mamamia wishes Clementine and her family all the very best.

Did she have a boy or a girl?
Find it funny how ford is appealing to some form of sensativity cause she nowhas a kid, like what a joke,as if she ever considered the feelings of men b4 she lashed out.ford better not have a boy baby as by god,if so we better pray because it will not be getting any love care attention or bloody understanding.
