It’s one year since Chrissy Amphlett passed away, and now 10 women have come together to raise awareness about the disease that killed her: breast cancer.
Singers including Amphlett’s cousin Little Pattie, cancer survivor Olivia Newton-John, Deborah Conway, Connie Mitchell, Suze DeMarchi, Sarah Blasko, Sarah McLeod, Kate Ceberano, Megan Washington and Katie Noonan have covered what is perhaps The Divinyl’s biggest hit – I Touch Myself – to promote self-examination for women in the hopes that cancerous lumps can be detected earlier.
Watch this song, and then take a moment to touch yourself. Right now. Tonight.
The I Touch Myself project has been commissioned by Cancer Council NSW.
Please share this post to help raise awareness about the importance of self-examination.
