***BREAKING ISLAND NEWS***
The Brits recently blessed us with the tropical-themed trash that is Love Island.
While we’re only on our first season in Australia, Love Island UK has already gone through three glorious (ridiculous) seasons.
During its three-year run, the show has produced many an island hook up, a baby, a couple engagements, and whole lot of drama-filled breakups.
But there’s one relationship that has stood the test of time and won over the hearts of viewers everywhere… and that’s the bromance between season three’s Chris Hughes and Kem Cetinay.
While they might not have found lasting love on the show, they found the kind of bond – built on hair gel and bicep curls – that has proved (so far) to be unbreakable.
And now the boiz are bringing their bromance (and their hair gel) to Love Island Australia.
Yep, according to NW Magazine, Chris, 25, and Kem, 22, are heading to the brightly-coloured villa very, very soon.
“Everyone behind-the-scenes has been working overtime to pull this off,” a production insider told the magazine.
“Chris and Kem’s bromance was instrumental to the success of their series, and producers know fans will love to see them mixing with the Aussie lot.”
To add to the villa-based excitement, there are also rumours the UK version and the Australia version, which are both filming at the same time, could do a contestant swap at some point during the season.
Um, yes please, we’d like that very much.
Love Island airs 8.30pm Sunday – Thursday on 9Go! and 9Now.
