Call that a wedding?
A woman dubbed the Chinese Kim Kardashian has completely out-Kardashianed Kim by having a AU$42 million wedding.
Take that, Kim! You too, Auburn deputy mayor!
Angelababy, 26, also known as Angela Yeung or Yang Ying, married actor Huang Xiaoming, 37, in Shanghai in front of 2,000 close friends and family.
And probably a whole load of celebrities and the corporate sponsors of the wedding, which is the only way this completely monstrous event could have occurred.
Angelababy is similar to Kim K in that she has about a bazillion followers on Chinese social media site Weibo. She’s dissimilar in that she is a singer and actress, while Kim is a… well, she’s a… She’s an entrepreneur.
Hello! reports that the bride wore a Dior gown with seven petticoats that took 50 metres of tulle to make.
She was also presented with a diamond wedding ring worth about AU$2 million.
The cake was the piece de resistance, though, towering over the couple at ten tiers.
All the guests left with goodie bags that contained stuff from the wedding’s sponsors, including a smartphone.
Ah! Young love. All they need is each other, you know?
We could be hearing a lot more from Angelababy in the future, with the actress starring with Liam Hemsworth in Independence Day: Resurgence next year.
Following the wedding of the decade, Angelababy’s been busy suing a plastic surgery clinic for defamation after they claimed to have performed procedures on her face. She has submitted to a facial examination to prove the her face is all her own.
“Baby’s entire head and facial bones do not have any signs of incisions,” hospital chief Qi Zuoliang said, according to local media.
Angelababy’s new husband Huang backed the doc up, according to Hello!:
“Actually she sometimes looks quite ugly to me. I’m not an idiot, I definitely can tell she hasn’t had plastic surgery. Sometimes she doesn’t put on makeup and she really looks like those ugly pictures of her.”

Is it just me or does that ring/s(?) look remarkably like a skull and crossbones?
Why is the word entrepreneur in condescended italics when used to describe Kim Kardashian? Like her or not, she is a very successful entrepreneur and business woman. This website is so snarky towards some women, while proclaiming to be for women. The Kardashian bashing is getting old and tired!
