The Spill: Thursday's best entertainment and gossip news.

1. “I want to learn to be on me own.” I’m A Celeb’s Charlotte Crosby says she and Ryan Gallagher have split.

It was the jungle romance that we didn’t really ask for… but still secretly cared about anyway.

Yep, we’re talking about Charlotte Crosby and Ryan Gallagher’s relationship on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!

But after surviving weeks of ‘showmance’ rumours and poor personal hygiene, the pair have decided to split now that they’re outside the jungle.

“When me and Ryan came out of the jungle I made no secret that I had been in a very long relationship and I wasn’t ready to jump into another one,” Charlotte told 10 Daily.

“I got really upset about it and I was a little bit worried because I did feel like me and Ryan were going in a bit more of a serious direction than what I wanted.”

After leaving the show, the pair spent time in South Africa together before deciding it was best to call it quits.

“I still wasn’t looking for something serious, he’s at a stage in his life where he is… so we came to a mutual decision that we’d just cool it off.”

But Charlotte says the pair will still remain friends.

“Like, my time in there would not have been the same without him. We had an amazing connection.”

As for Charlotte, she says she plans to enjoy being single as she enters her thirties.

“It’s my 30th birthday and I intend this year to be the craziest year of my life,” she said.

“I want to fall in love with myself, and I want to learn more about myself. I want to learn to be on me own.”

And we, for one, love that idea.

2. Mikey Pembroke just opened up about whether he’d date any of the other wives on MAFS.

We are back with more MAFS gossip. Are you surprised? We sure aren’t.

Today, it’s about groom Mikey Pembroke.

If you missed last night’s episode or have managed to push it out of your mind already, Mikey and his wife, Natasha Spencer, had a dispute at the end of the cocktail party.

Rightfully so, Mikey was angry that Natasha shared the intimate details of when they had sex with Michael, Stacey and the rest of Australia.

Since the episode, filmed back in 2019, it appears the two sadly haven’t made the distance. But is he open to a relationship with one of the other contestants?

Speaking with Fitzy and Wippa, the operations manager said, “I did say at the start of the show that I’d be interested in other girls as long as their relationship wasn’t good.”

Many assumed that if Mikey were to get together with another bride, it’d be Stacey Hampton, but he quickly denied that.

“You know what? Probably not. She’s not my kind of girl. Like, I did say I didn’t like high-maintenance girls that are a lot of work. But she’s still attractive.

“But give me a few beers and I’ll go out, there’s not much I wouldn’t hit.”

Finally, Mikey explains the protocol when it comes to ‘wife swapping.’

He explains that they first need to get the producers’ permission and then they need to check with the other person in the relationship, making sure they are okay with them dating their partner.

Asked whether he will stay or leave on Sunday night, he said, “I’m pretty honest with my emotions, so you can take a wild guess on what I will be putting up on Sunday night.”

Oooh juicy. Until Sunday!

Married at First Sight will be back on Sunday at 7pm on Channel Nine.

3. Paris Hilton has discussed the inspiration behind her cooking show and can we have another ep, please?

Remember that time Paris Hilton created her own Youtube show, ‘Cooking with Paris‘, where she taught us all how to make her famous lasagne? No? Let me give you a quick recap.

The show saw Paris wear leather, black, fingerless “chef” gloves, and use three spatulas to cook mince beef and needless to say, it was ICONIC.

So, when she appeared on Sunrise this morning, it was very important to know where the inspiration for such art came from.

“I was kind of using The Simple Life vibes as I was cooking,” she said, referring to her 2003-2007 reality show.

“I just like to have fun with it.

“‘Mexican food, Italian, I love to do tacos, I love to bake and make cookies and cupcakes. I basically can cook everything.”

It sounds like this might just call for more episodes, if you ask me.

4. ‘I wasn’t conveying my situation.’ MAFS’ Jonethen has explained why he was on his phone so much.

Over the past few days on Married at First Sight, we got to watch on as intimacy week tested and strengthened couples, but there was one pair, in particular, we were worried about.

MAFS sweethearts Connie Crayden and Jonethen Musulin bumped heads this week after Jonethen broke Connie’s enforced ‘no-phone rule’.

But, the 27-year-old miner has revealed that there was more to the story than was portrayed.

Appearing on HIT Mid North Coast to explain, Musulin said, “When that whole thing happened, my dad just had a stroke.

“A lot of the so-called ‘Instagramming’ was just me contacting my brothers, contacting my mum. Being more involved in that.”

“And you can see, I’m kind of upset most days. I look reasonably rattled at my phone if you look back at the footage. It’s mainly because I’m talking about some pretty heavy stuff.”

Musulin doesn’t blame Connie for her response though, admitting he “wasn’t really conveying [my situation] to Connie. I wasn’t really telling her what I was doing. She was just seeing me on my phone.”

So, it was all a misunderstanding and we can go back to hoping this is the pair that makes it out together. Yay.

5. The MasterChef 2020 cast has been announced and literally all of your favourites are back.

Get out your aprons and dust off your toque blanches because MasterChef is back.

And this time, Channel 10 is bringing back literally all of your favourite contestants from the past 11 seasons to have one more chance of taking home the coveted title.

This season will also have all new judges – Jock Zonfrillo, Melissa Leong and Andy Allen – who will take the helm of the show.

Here is every single contestant returning, and what they’ve been doing since their respective departures.

Poh Ling Yeow

Poh Ling Yeow lost to Julie Goodwin in the first season of MasterChef.

"I’ve been waiting for this moment for 10 years and now I’m back. I have a little bit of unfinished business," she told Mamamia in a statement.

She's had a successful career as a chef in the years following MasterChef, with her own cooking show Poh's Kitchen and three cookbooks.

I don't get it, why not just tell her that your dad's just had a stroke and you're keeping in touch with your family, instead of letting her get upset?

I don't get it either. You'd have to be a pretty unreasonable person to get upset at someone for being on their phone a lot when there was such an intense family situation going on. He could have saved himself (and Connie) a lot of grief.

Producers interfering to create more drama, perhaps?
