“Hold on to your butts.”
It has been an astonishing 22 years since the release of the original instalment of Jurassic Park. When comparing the 1993 version with its latest counterpart, Jurassic World (2015), it is pretty incredible to see, the CGI and special effects hold up pretty well.
We think it is the perfect time to check in and see if the the film’s human stars have been preserved in the same condition.
Sam Neill, can most often be found playing with orangutans and encouraging Australians to up their red-meat intake. His hair is slightly more salt-and-pepper than before, but other than that, he looks pretty much the same. Well done Sam, on somewhat delaying the fossilisation.
Laura Dern who played Dr. Ellie Sattler is also looking wonderful. Her career has continued to grow. Dern was nominated for Best Supporting Actress at the 2015 Academy Awards for her performance in Wild co-starring Reese Witherspoon.
As could probably be expected (it’s only logical), the kids have changed the most. Little Tim and Lex are not so little any more. Both are still acting, Joseph Mazzello in Hollywood blockbusters, Ariana Richards in, well… her last film was called ‘Battledogs.’ We’ll leave that one with you.
