“You know what I miss the most? Being carefree.”
That’s what the founders of the Mimi Foundation would hear again and again from the cancer patients they were working with.
It inspired them to develop the “If Only For A Second” project, which aims to help cancer patients forget their illness and be carefree – if only for a second.
The premise is simple: 20 cancer patients were told that they would be getting makeovers – but they had to keep their eyes closed the entire time. A photographer then stood behind a two-way mirror, and captured their priceless reactions.
The images were then put into a book with the exact date and time each patient fogot about their illness – just for a second.
The video is hilarious, heartwarming and so worth a watch:

Thank you for sharing , I love it.
Seriously... I just love the pure, unadulterated joy that came over their faces in that second when they saw themselves. It made me feel so touched and happy that they felt free again.
