And this is why you need to proofread.
A fancy Australian hotel has accidentally claimed to serve “grilled moroccan aborigine” in a salad.
The embarrassing typo was printed on a buffet card and placed on public display during lunch at the Hyatt Hotel Canberra.
ABC political correspondent Liz Foschia tweeted a photo of the cringeworthy typo this afternoon.
The Hyatt didn’t notice its mistake at first, responding with a cheery: “Definitely a unique menu option! Hope it’s as good as it is complicated :) Have a fabulous day at Hyatt Canberra.”
That breezy response led other social media users to spread news of the error.
AnthroPunk tweeted: “I don’t think you’re reading that right, Hyatt. Look again.”
“Surely you mean aubergine,” Christian Mccrea tweeted.
“Ouch….so much for spellcheck,” Dee Drummond wrote.
“An apology wouldn’t go astray though, or an expression of regret, or…” replied Ms Eduatta.
“You twit, Hyatt person. Correct your misspelling on the name because as it stands it’s offensive,” Ruth Parslow weighed in.
The Hyatt Hotel finally realised its error and issued an apology, according to the Daily Mail.
The sign has now reportedly been removed.

Stay safe, always opt for "Eggplant"
Ruth Parsley it was clearly a spell check error that wasn't picked up, its neither rude or offensive........... Although your comment is
Really? Spell check? The words are both grammatically correct and spelled correctly. Only proof-reading by another person would have prevented this. :)
Hhahahah I laughed so hard at this...hehehe Ruth Parsley heheheh
Exactly what i thought lol
If I type in "aberigine", the spell check in my browser offers "aborigine" and "aubergine" as possibilities. Click the wrong word, print it off in a rush and this could easily be the result.
Yes, proof-reading would probably have prevented this but it is fairly obviously an error someone has made with the spell check.
