Camilla Franks has shared intimate photos of how she's dealing with cancer and motherhood.

Renowned Australian fashion designer Camilla Franks has released an intimate set of photographs documenting her ongoing cancer treatment.

The 42-year-old, who is known for her successful fashion label of the same name, posted the images on Instagram on Friday, just under three months since announcing her breast cancer diagnosis to the public.

“My strength behind me. Our future in front. With me always,” the mum-of-one captioned the first of nine black and white photos featuring her daughter Luna Gypsy Jones and fiance JP Jones.

According to a statement made by CAMILLA, the photographs were taken by Georges Antoni in collaboration with make-up artist Noni Smith and Camilla’s creative team at a recent photo shoot in Sydney.

They also show Camilla’s head, which she shaved at the beginning of treatment “as her way of taking some control over this journey.”

Each image has been captioned with words and phrases representing Camilla’s treatment experience, with a focus on the meanings of colours.

“I have always run wild and free. But the devil has asked me to dance. So fuck it. I’m going to show him some moves,” one image caption read.

“A great battle rushes towards me. My determination grows with each beat of my heart and my own war cry builds. I have tasted raw terror and the salt of many tears. I am bald and broken but I will not be beaten,” read another.

The statement went on to provide an update on Camilla’s current condition.

“Our amazing Camilla is responding well to treatment and wanted to capture where she is on her personal path fighting cancer. The strength and authenticity evident in these images is what we always see when she comes into the office,” CAMILLA CEO Jane McNally said.

“Camilla and JP are incredibly grateful for the love and kindness shown to them throughout this time and have been touched by the messages of support. She continues to have all of our love and encouragement.”

Camilla first announced her breast cancer diagnosis in early May.

“I start on this journey humble but resilient; I would be lying if I said I wasn’t scared but I am fearlessly determined to do whatever it takes by focusing on my body, mind and spirit as I take my first trusting steps towards recovery,” she said at the time.

“As you know, my beautiful daughter Luna arrived a few months ago, and it is her warmth and smile that remind me this is a challenge I will embark on with courage – for her and my fiance as well as myself.

“With the incredible love and support of my little family I have no doubt I will beat this.”

Sending lots of positive thoughts and wishes to Camilla and her family.
