This week saw lots of shocks and surprises in the land of celebrities. So settle down with a warm cup of something and scroll through the crazy week that was the fluff files.
1. Reese Witherspoon and her husband arrested and jailed.
This week, Reese Witherspoon got arrested for being drunk and disorderly. And no, she wasn’t doing it for a movie.
Witherspoon and her husband, Jim Toth, were arrested and jailed after they were pulled over under suspicion of drink driving in Atlanta. Toth, 42, faces an drinking under the influence of alcohol charge after driving in the wrong lane while Witherspoon, 37, was handcuffed and arrested for disorderly conduct.
According to the police report obtained by Variety, Witherspoon asked, ‘Do you know my name?’ To which the officer replied that he didn’t need to.
Witherspoon was then quoted as saying: “You’re about to find out who I am.”
Cue Oscar nomination.
The couple spent three hours behind bars and the CAA talent agent, who formerly managed Reese, posted bail of $US1,591.
The following day Witherspoon apologised for her behaviour, releasing this statement via her rep:
“Out of respect for the ongoing legal situation, I cannot comment on everything that is being reported right now. But I do want to say, I clearly had one drink too many and I am deeply embarrassed about the things I said.
It was definitely a scary situation and I was frightened for my husband, but that is no excuse. I was disrespectful to the officer who was just doing his job. The words I used that night definitely do not reflect who I am. I have nothing but respect for the police and I’m very sorry for my behavior.”

3. Chrissy Amphlett dies aged 53.
Chrissy Amphlett, best known as the lead singer of Australian rock band the Divinyls, died on Monday the 22nd of April at 53-years-old.
The Divinyls garnered world-wide fame in 1991 when their hit single ‘I Touch Myself’ reached number one in the Australian charts.
The band had four top 10 albums in Australia, and made it into the ARIA Hall of Fame in 2006.
Amphlett was well known for wearing provocative schoolgirl outfits while performing, as well as her feisty stage presence. She was one of her generation’s major rock voices, and her complex music inspired many women.
In 2007 Amphlett revealed that she was battling multiple sclerosis, and in 2010 began a battle with breast cancer. In 2011 she went into remission.
Amphlett grew up in Victoria, and then lived with her husband Charley Drayton – former Divinyls drummer – in New York.
Reports say that she died in New York surrounded by family.

5. Last week this 40-year-old celebrity was the ‘most annoying celebrity in Hollywood.’
This week she’s the most beautiful, according to People magazine. Here’s People’s countdown from 10 to 1.
Check out the gallery to find out who it was….
Yep, Gwyneth Paltrow has won People’s Most Beautiful People ultimate crown: The Most Beautiful Person.
She really goes all out too, even giving the obligatory “I’m just a jeans and t-shirt kind of gal” quote to go along with her picture (although, considering she just recommended an ‘essential’ spring wardrobe worth $450,000, those jeans are probably pretty pricey).
Gwyneth humbly brushed the title off at the Iron Man premiere last night, saying “It’s funny, these things, because it’s like obviously not true. But it’s very sweet to be named that… Because I mean you can’t say that, you know! But it’s been wonderful. It’s been very wonderful. And as my friend said, it’s so nice that someone who has kids and is a mom and is not like 21 is named that. It’s really an honour.”
But as is always the way with poor Gwennie, not everyone is pleased with choice. The New York Post posted this comment: “If I had money, a personal trainer and a chef, I would look that good. It’s a little bit of a shot to the everyday woman. It’s not realistic.”
Paltrow also perplexed a lot of fans with her outfit on the red carpet premiere of her movie Iron Man 3 last night. The trend has been described as “side-butt”. One UK writer wrote: “Paltrow is not only fearless, she is knickerless!”
Would you wear it?
6. It seems Justin Bieber is a little more rock n’ roll than we think. Guess what Swedish police found on his tour bus? Click here to find out.
7. Hate hipsters (or just respect a good prank)? You’ll love this.
Try getting to the end of this video without laughing.
US late-night talk show Jimmy Kimmel sent a reporter to America’s biggest hipster music festival, Coachella.
The reporter interviewed festival-goers as they were entering the grounds, asking them about particular bands that were playing. Everyone seemed to know a lot about the bands mentioned and had nothing but good things to say about them. They were really, REALLY excited to see them play.
The punch-line? NONE OF THE BANDS EXIST.

Can we please agree that is was perhaps a little tasteless to tag ads for travel to New York (or anything commercial) in the Chrissy Amphlett story?
No mention of Charlotte?
