Women who are feeding their babies need to be left the hell alone.

The worst case of mummy-shaming we’ve seen in a long time.

This photo, this AWFUL photo, just popped up on my facebook feed and I’m so angry.

One mum received a text message from a “friend” admonishing her for breastfeeding her son, claiming it is child molestation.

What? WHAT?

The photo was posted in the Young Momma’s Breastfeeding facebook group with the caption, “wow, when did that become okay?”

I’ve written before about my struggles to breastfeed, and how I felt judged as a formula feeding mum. And I've written before about how women who breastfeed can be exposed to all kinds of public shaming. Women who formula feed can be made to feel as if they are harming their children. Women who breastfeed can be made to feel like they’re doing something unclean, or that it's akin to child molestation in this case.

Women are damned if they do and damned if they don’t. And that is so unfair.

This, however, is a whole new level of mummy-shaming. How dare another woman accuse a mother of child molestation for doing the most loving, caring and nurturing thing she can – feed her baby.

What would you do if your friend sent you a message like this?

A huge win for breastfeeding women thanks to 'that' photo of Alyssa Milano.

How this mum responded when she was shamed for breastfeeding in public is the best.
