It was the announcement that shattered our belief in true love shocked the world: Angelina Jolie filing for divorce from her husband of two years (and partner of twelve years), Brad Pitt.
But it was the fact that she had filed for sole custody of the couple’s six children that had the world guessing. Were their differing parenting styles to blame for their split? Is Brad Pitt having some sort of mid life crisis? Did he have an affair with his co-star, French actress Marion Cotillard?
Now, TMZ reports that Brad is getting set to fight for joint custody of their children: Maddox, 15, Pax, 12, Zahara, 12, Shiloh, 10 and their eight-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne.
Sources told the site that Brad says "there's no chance" that Angelina will get sole custody.
"He doesn't want to interfere with Angelina's ability to be a co-parent, but he won't allow her to thwart him," the report says.

"Sole custody for either of them doesn't seem like what's best for the children," another 'insider' told People magazine.
"Brad thinks Angelina is a great mother. But he is also a great father. There is no way he is going to be absent for any part of his kids' lives," the source said.

The revelations come as Madame Tussauds announced it has separated their wax figures of the famous couple.
"The couple's wax figures, which were launched in 2013, have been split up and are now featured at a respectful distance from each other," a Madame Tussauds spokesperson said.
"Angelina is keeping Nicole Kidman company and Brad Pitt is with his several time co-star Morgan Freeman."
In an official statement released after news of their split went public, Brad said his focus would be on the "well-being" of the couple's children.
"I am very saddened by this...I kindly ask the press to give [our children] the space they deserve during this challenging time," he said.

"Brad Pitt to fight for joint custody" - funny how you'd never see the headline "Angelina Jolie to fight for joint custody." Perpetuating the stereotypes that men are less entitled to custody, and that women are lead parents by default, is harmful to both genders. How sad that a non-abusive father has to "fight" for even joint or shared custody..
I think the wording is more so refering to the fact that Jolie was the one who filed for divorce and wanted sole custody so Brad had to follow up with a 'fight for joint custody'. If Brad initiated the divorce and sole custody then I believe Jolie will be the one fighting if that makes sense?
