Well, that’s awkward.
A US woman who was searching for a random man she kissed during this year’s Boston Marathon has received a response – from the man’s wife. Eeek.
Barbara Tatge, 54, of Tennessee, was dared by her daughter Paige to pash a random, good looking man as she ran through the town of Wellesley during the April 20 race.
Apparently, it is a tradition in that town for the women of Wellesley College to kiss runners as the race passes through.
Tatge, who has been divorced for seven years, accepted the dare, found a bloke and snapped a selfie of the kiss. After the race, she tried to find the man on social media, and her attempt soon went viral.

But here’s where things get interesting – a local paper, the Wellesley Townsman, soon passed on a letter for Tatge – from the anonymous man’s wife. We’re guessing she was sweating buckets as she opened THAT envelope…
But all things considered? She’s pretty chilled about the fact that a random woman decided to mack on with her husband in public.
She wrote:
When this story aired on the news we were pretty surprised…For me, I’m not mad. Believe me, our friends have gotten a lot of mileage out of this story and I have thoroughly enjoyed watching them give my husband grief! While this may not be the ending that you had hoped for, that spontaneous, silly moment in Wellesley captured the fun, energy and spirit of the Boston Marathon. I greatly admire your spunk and courage and wish you many happy races in the future. Congratulations on your Boston finish!
Tatge, who decided to run the race after recovering from cancer, wrote back to the wife and apologised for any embarrassment caused.

She’s promised to run the race again next year – only next time, she won’t be making out with any strangers en route.
