All the best picks from this year’s Book Week.
During primary school, I got sucked into Book Week on a massive scale.
When it came to the Book Fare that coincided with the celebration of all things books – nothing could hold me back from running in and grabbing every paper-back cover in sight.
I’d then go home, lock myself in my room, and not appear again until I had read everything from cover to cover.
Sometimes twice.
Which is exactly the point of the event. Book Week is meant to engage the community with literature for young Australians.
So if you need some inspiration for new bed time books to read to the kids, the 2014 Book Week Winners is a fantastic place to start.
