Placing fourth on Sophie Monk’s cycle of The Bachelorette, Perth-born entrepreneur Blake Colman was probably better known for his bromance with Samuel Cochrane, than any burgeoning romance with you know… the actual bachelorette.
Steadfast fans might remember him for his dramatic, and arguably rude, exit from the show, in which he called Sophie’s reason for ousting him, because she didn’t feel that he had “her back,” a “bullshit answer”.
However, speaking to Mamamia right after his televised exit, he confirmed that there were no hard feelings between the pair, and he did indeed text her to apologise for “being a dick,” to which Sophie responded with laughter.
Despite this, since his stint on the show, Blake has received great criticism after details broke of his alleged involvement in the assault of a stranger in 2015.
His choice to reappear on the show has also been deemed risky and irresponsible especially after reports that he is under investigation by NSW police for allegedly threatening to release revenge porn of ex-girlfriend Jen Hawke, who has also openly criticised the show for allowing him back.
