Sharing the recipe on her hugely popular blog, the cook book author writes, "I know what you're thinking. Why would I want to eat a ‘healthy’ brownie when I could be eating a deep, dark, rich, fudgey, and chocolatey brownie instead?”

Last time I tried black bean brownies, they were the most vile thing ever.
I read brownies with an "unusual ingredient", which took me back to my Uni days - I think that's right, it's all a bit of a blur now.
Anyway, black beans are not what I expected.
