No.
Nope.
No thank you please.
We don’t… like this.
You see, the slightly disturbed people behind Netflix’s new post-apocalyptic meme-generating movie, Bird Box, have finally revealed what the monster looks like.
In case you missed it, Bird Box stars Sandra Bullock as one of the survivors in a post-apocalyptic world, in which everyone wears blindfolds in order to avoid seeing some mysterious monster that makes them end their own lives.
What makes Bird Box even more unsettling is the fact that we never actually see the monster.
We unpack Bird Box on our Recap podcast here… Post continues after audio.
In an interview with Bloody Disgusting, screenwriter Eric Heisserer explained they had originally filmed a scene showing the entity, but in the end chose to cut it out.
Just to add to the general creepiness, Bullock has also described the monster as a “long fat baby” and “a green man with a horrific baby face”.
Now, we finally know what it looks like and it is – quite possibly- the most unsettling long fat baby/green man we’ve ever laid eyes on.
Someone who worked on the VFX for Bird Box shared an Instagram post of the monster, the post was deleted after – not sure how real it is. Here’s the photo. #birdbox #birdboxmonster pic.twitter.com/jaLjkxD0yi
