Suspect in William Tyrell's disappearance has been bailed and released into the community.

A man charged with child sex offences and investigated over the disappearance of three-year-old William Tyrell has been granted bail.

William (Bill) Spedding, 63, was charged with seven offences in April after police investigated him in connection with the boy missing from the NSW mid-north coast since late last year.

It is alleged that the whitegoods repair man repeatedly sexually abused two Sydney girls – aged three and six – in 1987.

His wife told the court no children would visit their home if her husband were granted bail.

His wife told the court if he were to be granted bail “no children will reside or visit” in their home.

Three-year-old Tyrell went missing from his grandmother’s home in September last year, days after Spedding visited the residence to fix the washing machine.

He remains a person of interest in the Tyrell case, but has strenuously denied any involvement.

Spedding was previously denied bail.

More to come.
