Afternoon Fluff: Beyonce goes vegan, dresses in fur.

Beyonce and Jay-Z are seven days into their 22-day vegan diet, but the “spiritual and physical” cleanse hasn’t extended to the singer’s wardrobe.

Over the weekend Beyonce was spotted walking into a vegan restaurant, Native Foods, in Los Angeles wearing quilted black pants, leather boots and $4,800 Christopher Kane wool-blend parka with a real fur collar.

The 31-year-old singer was also snapped in a head-to-toe pizza print ensemble on Thursday and a cow printed jumper and leather (?) leggings on Friday.

Sami and Yumi leave Mix 1065 to make way for Kyle and Jackie O.

Mumbrella reports that Mix FM’s breakfast presenters Sami Lukis and Yumi Stynes are leaving the network to make way for Kyle and Jackie O on the newly rebranded Kiis 1065.

Sami Lukis and Yumi Stynes won’t fulfill a full year in their role as Sydney’s first all-female radio duo; and a network executive said they were looking at another position for Yumi but made no mention of Lukis.

“Sami and Yumi worked really hard this year to build their audience and we thank them for being part of Mix and wish them the very best. We are now currently exploring the development of new shows for launch next year involving Yumi,” Duncan Campbell, national content director for The Australia Radio Network, said.

‘Love Songs Dedication’ night-time guru Richard Mercer is also leaving Mix 1065, he will move his show to 101.7 WSFM.

Behold ‘Loots’: the leggings with built-in boots.

Tamara Mellon the woman behind the Jimmy Choo line of designer heels has sold her shares in the company she co-founded and has a new collection of bags, clothing and of course – shoes.

It includes a pair of leather legging boots (Loots?) named ‘Sweet Revenge.’

Mellon describes them as: “a thigh boot that pulls right up into a legging. You can wear a sweater over it or a big man’s shirt and there’s no gap.”

Luxury e-tailer Net-a-porter is selling the boots for AU$2857 and have described them as: “Designed for a flawless, all-in-one silhouette, each size of this unique style is constructed with either a XS/S or M/L pant – wear yours with a fitted tunic for the slickest take.”

 Would you wear ’em?

While wearing fur INTO a vegan restaurant is a bit embarrassing... I don't see the issue with ANY of the other clothes... ????
The way I understand it, being a vegan isn't about not being a consumer of any animal products what-so-ever (because that's impossible - see below pic)... it's personal, ethical framework about minimising one's personal impact on the animal world. Isn't it!?
Anyway she's on a 22 day plant based diet - not becoming a vegan, so she was wear what she likes.

Reminds me of an interview in the Sunday paper yesterday with Ruth Tarvydas... sob stories about her business nearly going under including snippets like negotiating a new deal with her car-lease company to keep her silver SLK Mercedes and that she only buys her underwear in Paris... included the line: "She's all smiles and still attracting plenty of attention as she bounces into the lobby of the Hyatt Regency Hotel for STM's interview. Antique baby leopard fur is swinging from her shoulders - complete with tiny paws..."
Classy (sarcasm).
