There are so many new mascaras, shampoos and lotions launching every single week — far more than Erin and I can road-test ourselves. So, the wonderful women at work put their hair, limbs and faces on the line to help sift through all the newness in the name of finding what's good (and what's not worth purchasing).

I wanted to add a notable mention to this month's edit. It's not new to the market, but it's new to me and it saved my skin after I had a bad reaction to a product I was road-testing.

La Roche-Posay Toleriane Ultra Dermallergo Serum, $58.95, is an unsung hero I discovered at my local pharmacy.

The chemist closest to me is a small independent shop, not a huge store, so when I got a nasty chemical burn from a cream I won't name, I  grabbed this serum from their limited range.

Wow, I'm so glad I did. This serum contains neurosensine, which is a great ingredient for helping with anti-irritation and signs of sensitivity.

It worked instantly, helping to calm my red, angry face. Even if you don't have a reaction to sort out, this serum is excellent if you're feeling tight and dry — it soothes the skin and reduces the appearance of redness.

It also gives a lovely plumping glow, so I've been using it daily since, even though my reaction has subsided. I love it so much that I just purchased my second bottle.
