LEIGH CAMPBELL: 'You don't need to spend huge on mascaras. Here are my 5 savey faves.'

Question for you: What three products would you take with you if you were stuck on a desert island?

Oh, come on. For fun?

Well, Leigh Campbell told us. In fact, in this week's You Beauty newsletter (have you signed up, yet? You totally should!) she said it's one of the most common beauty questions she's always asked.

Because it's so damn pervy, after all.

While Leigh revealed beauty would be the last thing on her mind (because, survival), hypothetically, she said she would choose these three things: a solid SPF, a cleanser and — you guessed it — mascara.

Watch: Four mascara myths that'll change the way you put it on. Post continues below.

She shared, "I feel naked without mascara. I have small-ish eyes, and without curling and coating my lashes, I just feel undone."

And honestly, SAME.

Mascara is hands-down the one product that can change your beauty look in seconds. If you're anything like us it's the one thing you do when you want to look like you've made an effort, without making an effort.

The best part? There are so many goodies on the market — and we've seen a whole whack of new launches saunter their way across the shelves this year.

Take, for example, Kylie Jenner’s brand-new mascara, Kylash. We actually reviewed it last week to see if it was really worth the $40 price tag (you can read it here).

As Leigh said, it's definitely not the cheapest out there, but by no means the most expensive.

Leigh shared, "Annoyingly, a lot of my favourite mascaras are over the $50 mark, and with the whole cost-of-living situation, my bank account doesn't like that."

Can relate.

"It inspired me to share my top five mascaras, all under $40. They all give long, lush-looking lashes without clumps, which is my prerequisite for a good mascara."

As someone who tries a helluva lot of beauty products, you know Leigh Campbell's recommendations are going to be good.
