Best and worst of the week

.

Happy Friday and welcome to one of the most popular posts of the week. It’s time to reflect on what’s happened during your week – the good, the bad and the in-between.

Sharing is caring and for several years now, Mamamia readers have been gathering here on a Friday and over the weekend to trade highs and lows.

Remember that if you want a chance to host best and worst, email info@mamamia.com.au with your full name, headshot and a short bio (include any links to your blog/Twitter etc), and we’ll take it from there.

Best: My best this week was having my faith restored in the human race. I somehow found myself driving my mum’s car in the midst of an apocalyptic windstorm, having a fist fight with the windscreen wipers and trying desperately not to kill myself. Unfortunately, the car battery died and I got stranded in someone’s driveway wearing my pyjamas with a dead battery, no wallet and no shoes. I called the NRMA. (This is where my valley becomes a peak) The NRMA guy proceeded to come to my rescue within 5 minutes, comforted me while I bawled my eyes out, then accompanied me to my house so I could duck inside, put some pants on and grab a muesli bar while he kept my engine running. What a guy.

Worst: I was having a lovely Skype sesh with my mum who is currently in Poland. Everything was going swimmingly until she decided to give me a virtual tour around her hotel room. “Here’s my room… here’s our view… and here’s your father without any clothes on!” I could’ve saved myself some pain if the time delay had worked in my favour but alas, by the time her words reached my laptop it was too late. My parents of course thought my physical reaction to seeing my own dad naked was unequivocally hilarious. Different courses for different horses. Thank god for pixelation.
