Welcome to Best and Worst – the little corner of Mamamia where we throw things over to you and let you run the joint.

Tell us your best, tell us your worst, and if that’s not enough also just tell us what’s on your mind in general (that tends to be wine for me).

Allow me to kick things off:

My best this week was…

Going to Frocking Hilarious for the Sydney Comedy Festival. It’s basically just an awesome line-up of ladies being funny, and all the proceeds go to ActionAid Australia, a charity that aims to empower and aid women living in poverty.

There were some amazeballs ladies doing stand-up, including Judith Lucy, Denise Scott, Fiona O’Loughlin, George McEncroe, Claire Hooper and Gretel Killeen.

But the favourite of the night was probably incredible music act Lady Sings It Better, who take the songs of famous male musicians and reinvent them as hilarious cabaret. Seriously, you guys need to see these girls – I have not laughed so hard in a really long time:

And… my worst?

Well, I wouldn’t really say it’s a ‘worst’ (I’m struggling here), but I got these flowers delivered to me by a lovely Mamamia reader yesterday and it was just so nice I wish I could have thanked her in person! So THANK YOU Alyssa! They were beautiful.
